We are currently looking for;-

Asst. Banquet Manager

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Meet and greet clients.
2. Oversee catered functions, in house and off site.
3. Responsible for making the function space visually appealing and presenting the menu offering for the event.
4. Responsible for the overall sanitation and cleanliness of the work areas, banquet rooms and storage areas.
5. Responsible for the proper usage and good working order of all equipment, furniture and fixtures in the Banquet and Catering Section in the shift assigned.
6. Responsible for consistently implementing the service standards and operating procedures in the banquet and catering service.
7. Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer needs are met.
8. Provide unique and creative ideas to enhance meetings & group experience.
9. Should posses in depth Knowledge of Food and Beverage preparation and presentation.
10. Supervise events and team members throughout service.
11. Guide the Banquet servers in set up of tables and place settings.
12. Be familiar with all current and upcoming event details.
13. Resolve staff and customer concerns quickly and efficiently.
14. Co-ordinate with the Kitchen and housekeeping department.
15. Should be able to work under pressure and also work in long or break shifts.
16. Scheduling of banquet staff, prepare weekly duty chart to correspond with banquet functions and manage labour for monthly.
17. Assist the Banquet Manager with scheduling, training and performance management.
18. Assist and support the Conference Services Manager to provide excellent guest service
19. Responsible for monthly inventory, consumption spreadsheet and banquet staff labours.
20. Responsible for ensuring sufficient operating guest supplies, beverage supplies and operating equipment for functions assigned.
21. Speak with others using clear and professional language, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
22. Build an accurate and effective database of current and potential guests/accounts
23. Assists Banquet Manager in achievement of budgeted food sales, beverage sales and labour costs
24. Achieve maximum profitability and over-all success by controlling costs and quality of service.
25. Participation and input towards F & B Marketing activities.
26. Control of Banquet equipment, linen, crockery and cutlery.
27. Completion of function delivery sheets in an accurate and timely fashion.
28. Assist in preparation of forecast and actual budget function sheets.
29. Completion of weekly schedules. Schedule staff as necessary to ensure adequate and consistent levels of service.
30. To supervise and co-ordinate daily operation of meeting/banquet set-ups and service.
31. Completion of Banquet bar Requisitions.
32. Maintaining the Hotel Bar control policies and completion of necessary forms.
33. Following of proper purchasing and requisitioning procedures.
34. Maintain records for inventory, labour cost, and food cost etc.
35. Follow-up each functions by completing a Function Critique and submit to the Sales & Food and Beverage Manager.
36. Attendance and participation of weekly F & B meeting and Department Head meeting.
37. Consistent check of Banquet Food and Beverage quality, Banquet services and presentation.
38. Ensuring that services meet guest’s specifications.
39. Provide quick service for last minute changes.
40. Check Food & Beverage or coffee Break schedule if applicable.
41. Handling guests complaints.
42. Responsible Staff attitude and appearance.
43. Inspections of Meeting Room prior to guest arrival ensuring that guest’s specifications have been met.
44. Effective communication skills.
45. Any other duties related to food and beverage service assigned by the Director F&B.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Hotel Management or any equivalent Degree
• 5-6 yrs experience in any International Hotels in Banquet Operations
• Excellent Managerial skills
• Good Communication skills
• Ability to work for long hours and willing to work in shifts
